K9 Dog Training Academy is a dog training and breeding center. We provide a variety of training programs from House training to Protection work. Services provided by the facility include handling techniques, dog trainer, decoy, and behaviorist courses, training for various titles including the K9 certificate and the UPD title. Raben K9 Training Center Ltd. is the ONLY registered dog training and breeding academy in Northern Cyprus Lefkosa (KKTC - KIBRIS) and is the ONLY facility that houses Search and Rescue dogs and the ONLY facility providing Protection, Narcotics, Cadaver, and Explosive dog training work. |

We do not breed "Show Dogs" or "Pet Quality" dogs. All of our dogs are bred from Working Dogs who do not carry Hip Dysplasia or any other genetically inherited disease. We breed according to the work of Stephanitz and do not recognize any dog other than those that fit the description of Stephanitz. To understand our breeding program one must first truly understand Stephanitz. Our dogs are not cage or kennel dogs, they are properly socialized well behaved German Shepherd Dogs that fit to the standards, those set out by Stephanitz. What is the difference? How many German Shepherd Dogs do you know that jump a 150cm high fence rather then todays 100cm set standard? How many GSD' have you met that can climb over a 3 meter high vertical wall rather then the set 180cm slanted and carpeted ramp? how many German Shepherd Dogs have you met that perform a 100cm high 300cm long obsatcle jump? Chances are you haven't chances are you thought that such dogs were extinct today.
Raben K9 Dog Training Center lives by Leslie Charvilles rule, "If a job is worth doing then do it right, or don't do it at all".
Unfortunately many people have fallen for 'low quality' German Shepherd Dogs. Dogs that have a low reaching back with a saddle pattern and plenty of inherited diseases. This is due to the fact that many breeders have evolved with the only target of making fast cash not caring for the breed or owners just their pocket. We bread according to Stephanitz.

My story with K9 Raben Training Center started with my adopting Ghost von Raben. She was 9 months old so I was a bit afraid of her getting to bond with me. Ben came and checked out our hose and got to know us only then did he agree to sell us Ghost. After signing a contract that protected Ghost and me we received special training with Ghost and on completion we took her home. Night one was full of worries, Ghost wasn't that happy dog we saw at the kennel but after a day she totally accepted and obeyed as if she was born in my hands. We were warned by Ben so we were completely ready for outbursts by people who 'know all' telling me that my dog wasn't 'original'... Now at 12 months of age everyone I know has changed their mind, Ghost unlike the German Shepherd Dogs I see around is a hard working fizikally and mentally strong dog who is everything every book says about the breed, she is protect full yet forgiving, loves children, has an excellent nose, always on the go, devote full and loving yet totally fierce against danger, she knows 21 commands and requires no leash. She doesn't wine or make that thin bark like other dogs I see, she has a deep chest bark that makes one look twice to see if it really was her. I have received unlimited help from Ben and his crew and I have learnt how to feed, love, protect and understand my daughter. If you too are in search for a German Shepherd Dog that will fulfill your dreams then Raben Working Line German Shepherd Dogs are the answer, in workshops I have seen plenty of dogs and none come close to them. If you are looking to train your dog then K9 Raben is the only real location, even though they monopolize in training the prices are really cheap and the training is fun yet realistic with no torture just love...

Raben K9 Training center is a dog training and working line german shepherd dog breeding center that breeds top dogs for working situations and provides training for both dogs and trainers. The center is run with employees alike a family business.
Our staff is comprised of a DVM, Veterinarian, Master Instructors Instructor, Behaviorist, UPD dog trainer, FGO dog Instructor and pur UPD Decoy.
Success rate of past 5 years:
2006: 187 dogs accepted for training. Only 1 fall-outs.
2007: 312 dogs accepted for training. Only 2 fall-outs.
2008: 435 dogs accepted for training. Only 8 fall-outs.
2009:
372 dogs accepted for training. Only 2 fall-outs.
2010: 614 dogs accepted for training. Only 5 fall-outs.
Major fall-out reasons:
1 dog was rejected due to extreme punishment applied by owners whome would not cooperate.
1 gun-shy dog accepted into our dog training facility was withdrawn by un-cooperative owner due to training sequence and anticipated course length.
1 agressif dog (bitten owners leg) after successful rehab. in the dog training center, when taken home was not treated by the owner as specified by dog behaviorist and returned into a dominant aggresif dog. After 2 years the owners decided to put the dog down after the dog bit the owners foot. We as K9 Raben Training Center adopted the mentioned dog.
The other fall-outs were actually a success in the dog training center with professional instructors but did not perform for their owners. some never performed others stopped performing. These dogs actually were not unsuccsesfull dogs, they had unsuccesful owners!
A child goes to school and learns various words and actions such as sea, come here, time to go...
If when the familly takes their child to the sea and after a while call their child to get out because its time to go home there is a possibility that the child;
Will get out of the sea and run tıo his parents. Well brought up child who is fond of his parents.
Pretends not to hear. The child may just wont to swim as much as possible. Not necessarilly a bad child.
Swears back yelling 'we just ..... got here'. One wouldn't say that he had a good upbringing now would they.
Well for the two options were the child didn't get out of the sea. Can their school be blamed? No.
A child with a temper or bad habbits who has no respect who gets into fights, school to blame or the up bringing?
A dog given for training for a certaşn task is trained for that task and will in a short time perform that task in a happy eager manner for its instructor. The reason for this is because the dog was trained and treated properly and the dog respects its instructor. A dog that has no respect for its owner will not perform the task at all or at least not with the same eager to work attituıde! A good dog is a dog who has a good owner. Please respect your dog, protect your dog, properly exersize, feed and treat your dog. Trust your dogs instructor and treat your dog the right way only then expect your dog to perform for you!
Over %80 of so-called behavior problem dogs actually have no behavior problem at all they have an owner related problem. We can correct your dog but you must be ready to accept your mistakes, correct them and fully cooperate otherwise it is a waste of time for us and not fair on your dog.
We will only train your dog if we believe that you require such training and that the training will be beneficial for both dog and you.
