Feeding your dog:

Okay so here's a tuf one and a reason for many arguments between us and a handfull of vets. Firstly let's put one thing in: Veteriners deal with animals and every animal is as complicated as the human being. A crowed of doctors are required for a human check-up. Unfortunately vets are not as lucky, a single vet has to deal with broken bones, ear infections, eye problems, the digestive system and so on where as human doctors work on specific areas thus having a higher chance of correct diagnosis. As this is not enough a vet will be examining a dog for a fever then the next patient will be a mouse with diarea and then a parot that has a broken wing and so forth. Dog trainers do not only study different techniques of how to train a dog to sit but they also train on dog behaviour and dog health issues. Dog instructors deal only with dos and plenty of them thus their experience is a vital helping and guide point for many top vets and biologists.

Now with that out of the way lets look at the dog's feeding requirements. Some vets argue that dogs used to be carnivours but are todays demesticated animals and thus have evolved into omnivours. This is NOT true. Dog's are carnivours they have not evolved as a a vet or two may believe. Lets be frank. If a dog was an omnivour then wouldn't it have a set of teath to chew with? Obviously it would but they haven't. They can't chew and their stomaches are much shorter thus when vegetables are fed to them plainly they can only digest a small amount the rest comes out quit visably wih their daily toilet! A dog depending on it's breed can have as much as up to a 250 kg. biting jaw. This is a way lot stronger then the average mans total strength of limbs combined. If they had evolved wouldn't their stomaches have grown longer, stomache and sylavia acids have changed, body Ph have altered, teath have changed, uneseccary biting stregth have declined etc.? The honest trueth is of course. Dogs are said to come from wolves. Ever seen a wild wolf lighting a bonfire and cooking a meal and going around vegetable fields? No! Oh and when a vet tells you that as an example wolves and the German Shepherd Dog are ancient relatives and that they have evolved since ask your vet how many millions of years or thousands of years have passed since theiir seperating and how long such a criticle stage of eolving would require. Between us wolves were used in 'creating' the GSD only 90 od years ago. Some speedy evolvement! Soon they will be talking and singing and driving cars..

Dogs are carnivours and anybody with common sence and who has had a good look at their dogs set of teath, the way they use their jaws and their natural instincts will accept this as a plain fact.

If your vet advises you to give your dog cooked meat and bones if you have to a vet change will be a good idea. NEVER give your dog cooked bones. NEVER believe a vet who tells you that chicken bones are lethal and that cooked red meat bones are okay. Cooked bones splinter and have a high chance of piercing the stomache. This is both because they a sharp splinters and also because the boe has changed form and isn't digested properly because the acids in the dogs stomache are FOR meaty bones!
No omnivour can break crunch and then fully digest a bone into powder! Dogs do and its a really rich in the dogs daily requirements. Dogs feeding a proper diet will be eating raw meat and bones. These should be aquired from a producer for human consumption. A vet telling you that there are hazards in top brand meat producers products should either be sued by the producers or should warn the general public that they are a cuase of risk hazards. Dogs will also require vegetables because they will not be receiving them from the whole prey. Because their system is designed for the whole prey who would hav consumed and digested the vegis for them in the first place is not given then you will be having to add them to the dogs meal. Do not forget that vegetables must be boiled a little before hand and preferably mashed so that the dog who is NOT an omnivour can digest it!

Require further proof. Then we can provide two solutions. 1- Research a little more. 2- Feel free to visit us and compare our raw feeding dogs to those dogs that feed on kibble. Specific differences that you will immediately see will be strong pigmentation, none smelling breaths, shiny and strong coats, ultra healthy looks, extremely long focusing, happy and willing to work charecters, and a very drastic difference in stamina!

Ok still not convincd and wish to feed kibble. A piece of advice. If kibble is better then do a little research all advertise the meat content dont they? how many actually show the true percentage? Not many. A least find a brand that has no preservatives and a printed percentage of meat of at least 30%. Yes thats right they are much more expensive, wonder why? Please do also follow the instructions, keep fresh water present constantly and do not exersize your dog after feeding kibbles. Maybe you are starting to get the picture..
Maybe you do a little more research and find out how kibble is prepared at high temperatures killing much inside requiring manufactures to spray on proteins vitamins etc.

Oh and a last note. Proteins found in meat are not the same as those found in plants. Cooked meat kills vitamins and proteins and alter others. If you are afraid that the meat you purchased was handled by dirty hands then: For chicken poor boiling water over it. Kills bacteria on the outside doesn't harm the goodies on the inside and for Red meat freeze for 48 hours and that kills most bacteria. And if thats not good enough and you are going for kibbles because you are afraid from bacteria then you probably disinfect the dogs living area food bowl streets it roams etc. constantly don't you? Didn't think so!
