Water and Dogs :
Strangely enough we have met vets that didn2t know this part of information!
Dogs are very much different to humans. Humans do not have a fur coat and dogs do not sweat. Dogs protect them selves from the cold AND heat with their hairy coat that changes according to the season. (that's why we do NOT recommend dogs to have a hair cut in the summer it doesn't help it worsens the situation). Dogs also have a thick coat of oil on their body that also helps with protecting from weather. To cool down in hot weather dogs drink water this water is used most importantly to cool down via wetting their tongues, pumping blood into it and breathing over. This causes a radiator effect and thus cools the blood down therefore the whole body. It is vitally important that dogs have constant access to fresh drinking water.
