Description:
This training program has been prepared for household living dogs. During the course your dog will learn the basic commands No, Here, Sit for food-eat, bed. Your dog will also be potty trained. during the %100 pozitif training course where your puppy is taught with food and toy treats your puppy will have a head start in life. Puppies are carefully socialized during the training period with humans and other animals. On completion of the course your puppy will have faith in humans and will enjoy listening to commands thus will be a happy obedient dog. Puppies come into the world with their own communication skills that they further develop whilst with their mother and siblings early in life. This makes communicating with humans a stressfull time for puppies where they can not express themselves and they can't understand as is exactly asked from them. This course teaches puppies that they can actually communicate with humans thus opening the door to further learning the human communication science.

Description:
Dogs may not be humans but this does not mean that dogs do not have feelings, dogs do have fealings, they can suffer from stress alike us they can be happy exite sad or upset just alike the human race. Dogs know how to be loved and to love just l,ke us. This in simple means that dogs are NOT robots. Even though dogs are born with their own communication system, they are superior body language readers, they are exelent at learning via connection but they are not born with the knowledge of communicating with humans and thus can easilly misunderstand or get into trouble when trying to communicate with the human race. misunderstandings are part of their day of life which is unbelieveably stressfull for them.
FGO was developed as the primary education school for dogs.
The principle of FGO is not to train a dog to be the king of obedience or to become a world champion but instead to be a happy individual in the human world. The trianing program was developed by Mr. Senova and collegues using special new training skills via the todays more understood dog understanding and behaviour science. Dogs participating in FGO trianing groups get extremely exited on their way to the training premises by the third lesson they love it.
FGO training teaches the dog owner how to understand and communicate with their dogs whilst their dogs learn how to understand the human race. With the FGO program dogs understand that they can actually understand the strange two legged creatures.
By entering the FGO training program you can expect to begin to understand and communicate with your dog. Your dog will learn 12 commands and he/she will learn how to listen to you. Socialising is very important for us so once your dog has completed the FGO course you will have a dog that you can trust to go out for walks and you will know that you are taking your dog out for a walk and not your dog taking you out for a walk.
FGO training is team training, It is a training course for your adopted house companion and also a training that will set a strong foundation for future training and at the same time because your dog has learn't the skill of learning teaching extra commands at home will be easierthen ever. |

General Obedience

Description:
Dogs that have completed their foundational obedience have learnt how to comunicate and behave just alike a well behaved child. those who require their dog to be at competition levels will require further training. OB classes have been devised for this purpose. OB training is training a dog to perform commands and tasks in a professional manner. As an example sit when on heal in foundation obedience requires the dog in question to understand what the word sit means and to sit. It does not matter whether the dog sits to the side or with their legs tucked to one side. In OB training the dog learns to sit immidiately on command in a straight line with their head up awaiting for further commands. Thus owners will continue using the FGO communication language in the household and on daily walks but use the OB commands at competitions, work and when urgent obedience is required. At K9 Raben Training Center we use special training to make the dog enjoy being obedient and to see the commands as gestures of play, thus performing one hundred percent each and every time. OB training is set in three different levels, each level requiring an even more demanding structure and further commands and abbilities. FGO with no leash and immidiate correct responce gives one a picture of what OB1 is all about.

SchH 1 - 3 Schutzhund

Description:
Certain clubs require the Schutzhund otherwise known as the IPO certificate in order for gaining the right for pedigree breeding. Schutzhund is a fun training activity that was devised to test the German Shepherd Dog of worthiness of the breed. Today this has altered and has become a very popular Sport. Schutzhund covers three training stages and thus requires dogs capable of carrying out these stages. Obedience, Bite work and Tracking. Schutzhund is not a protection training program it is a sport program where the dog is tested for couraige, nose work, agility and nose work.
Dogs living among the familly that are not to become professional nose dogs or protection dogs can highly benefit from the Schutzhund training program.
Raben k9 Training Center does not agree that the Schutzhund test is the correct test for obtaining breed worthiness but mere good training. However Svhutzhund is the most common bite work sport and is a fun training and competeing title for many dog breeds.
Schutzhund dates back to 1901 when it was devised to be used as a tool to test for breed worthiness, however many good dogs have been lost in the pedigree system because they have been trained for duties and not Schutyzhund whereas these dogs, the German shepherd Dogt was a utile working job ready for duty, thus the best dogs have been unfortunately lost. |

K9 Raben Training Center offers SAR training for Cyprus that includes searching for missing person, Search and Rescue for after earthquakes, building etc. disasters, avalaunches are not covered in the training program. All training is carried out as a team work. Tracking, area search, smell discrimination, covering hard to pass grounds etc. is included in the training program, handlers learn first aid and search and rescue techniques, usage of equiptment etc. during the training period.

K9 Raben keeps the K9 training certification standards hidden due to want to be trainers trying to accomplish these standards yet sell dogs that were not successfull in training thus being a dangeour to the handler and general public. Another reason is that K9 raben Training Center has worked extremely hard for many long years preparing the best training certification standarsd for different training programs and other training centers have stolen these and issued them as their own.
K9 Raben as many training centers around the world has been exposed to stange ordeals. eg. 2 dogs trained at K9 raben were later reported that one had died and the other had run away, strange enough these two dogs re-appeared 6 months later beside their want to be trainer and were used as advertisement tools where the owner was doing shows explaining that he had trained them.
Another example: A government empolyee whome loves dogs but has no idea about dog training, breeding or even feeding, steals K9 rabens and another training academy's training programmes and uses these as if he had devised the programmes himself. Funnilly enough K9 Raben when asked was told to be not even good enough to be his competitor..

UPD Utiliterian Protection Dog

Description:
Utilitarian:
- Designed to be useful rather than luxurious or decorative.
- Based on or supporting the belief that actions are good if they are useful or benefit the greatest number of people
As the name suggests this is a certificate that is based on a wide scale of protection that does not only cover personal protection. Something more as a dog beneficiary to a wide range of people.
The UPD is a wide coverage Certificate that covers areas that are very much different to one another. Many people rightly choose a single line that runs in the UPD Certification Standard. This means that dogs must be carefully selected for this type of training. The dogs must have a high prey drive for protection work but they also must be highly social or more correctly put trustworthy for training of Search and Rescue. The dogs therefore must have very balanced and stable nerves. Health and anatomy is also vastly important due to excessive agility requirements. Selected dogs must also be willing to work and at the same time to be willing to work with people. An intelligent dog with a high focus is vital.
UPD Certified Dogs are true examples of trained dogs they are highly adaptable and will work out for themselves what is required of them in ever changing scenarios. UPD Certified Dogs simply break the rules of such of that a Protection Dog requires extreme prey drive or Search and Rescue Dogs must have no prey drive..
The UPD Certificate is as you have already understood a hard to reach certificate that requires the best of the best of both dog and handler.
The UPD certificate is open to all breeds that have the necessary potential. The UPD Certificate program was initially developed for the German Shepherd Dog breed.
The UDP Certificate is a four stage program. Minor, Junior, Master, and the UPD title.
The UPD title is valid for one year and requires simple annual re-testing for proof of title worthiness. Any dog that has kept its UPD title for three years is known as a Veteran UPD.
The testing process for the UPD title.
Each stage consists of: Obedience, Agility, SAR, General Protection, Nose-work etc.
Candidates are first screened. Successful dogs are accepted as Minor UPD MinUPD.
On successfully completing the Minor stage candidates are accepted as junior candidates, then Master and at last Senior and are awarded with the UPD title. During each stage the candidates work for points for each section of required training. Different tests required have different minimum age requirements. Any candidate at or above the age boundary can enter the specific test. Each test requires to be taken at different times and allocations. The average is used as the initial score. Candidates must pass all phases to be accepted for the stage test. Each stage ends with a stage test and candidates that pass earn their new title. Stage final tests differ and are randomly prepared by the judging committee. Each handler is told the test goals on the final test day. Tests can be composed on any combination of tests required and already passed.
Minor UPD (Mn-UPD):
All candidates that have been screened and passed with UPD acceptable or UPD recommended.
Minimum age for final test: 6 months.
Tests include FGO, Agility 1a, Basic protection, basic area search and basic tracking.
Junior UPD (J-UPD):
All candidates that have achieved required minimal score and have successfully passed the Minor UPD stage test.
Minimal age for final test: 12 months.
Tests include: OB-1, Agility 1b, General Protection Level 1,SAR-A Level 1 Nose Work .
Master UPD (M-UPD):
All candidates that have achieved at least the minimal score and have successfully completed the Junior UDP stage test.
Minimal age for final stage test: 18 months.
Tests included OB-2 and, Agility 2, General Protection Level 2, SAR B, and Level 2 Nose Work.
The UDP Title:
Is given to dogs on successfully completing tests including Protection Level 3 and Obedience level 3.
UPD Veteran (UPDV)
Is a title given to dogs that have re-entered tests UDP title tests or competitions for 2 consecutive years and successfully completed.
UP + D ( UPPD ):Utilitarian Protection Plus Dog:
This is a title program the same as the UPD title but has more coverage and most programs included finalize at the plus stage. Eg. FGO-Plus, OB3-Plus, Proteciton3-plus, Agility3-Plus.
A very important part of the Plus version is that it is only open to club members, all training is performed as much as possible by the handlers themselves.
UPPD Club
BUPD:Basic Utilitarian Protection Dog:
The same as the UPD Program but doesn't include tracking or SAR.
UP + D vs. K-9
K-9 is a training program for working dogs The program is used mainly by the police or military. A high training is used and a difficult test is required. Succesful candidates receive the K-9 title. The UPPD title is given to dogs that have been vastly trained and proven themselves throughout a complex and difficult training program. K-9 dogs are trained for narcotics. UPPD titled dogs have no narcotic training but have received higher levels of training and have been trained for a much wider scale. K-9 titled dogs have to complete different extra programs to achieve the UPPD title. On the other hand UPPD titled dogs only require a short Narcotic training program to easily achieve the K-9 title.
Dogs chosen for both K-9 and UPD training require the same drives but the UPD candidates must also be highly social aswell.

FPR dog training was devised from FPR dogs. a few hundred years ago the peasants of the time when allowed to hunt did not own the luxury of keeping a few dogs for different purposes in hunting therefore they require da dog that could do it all. eg. The birth of the Drahthaar dog. Today in Cyprus the same is true hunters rarely have the oppertunity to look after more then one dog therefore requiring their dogs to learn all phases of hunting and single handedly perform all. K9 Raben has devised a hunting dog program composing 4 stages where the first is suitable for the avarage hunter and the second, third and fourth for competeing dogs. Dogs are taught to discriminate smells thus to easily fid much wanted game. dogs are learn how to sweep, follow a ground or air trail etc. |

WD Watch Dog

Description:
This is the entry level for protection work. It serves as a good foundation for Schutzhund and other Sport base training programs by integrateing the teachings of what a threat truly is and what a threat isn't without compremizing future title sport base training or as an add on for sport trained dogs. WH trained dogs are taught the correct method of bite work and also learn to distinguish between threat and play. All training is done via the bite sleeve thus the training program is accepted as a start point of protection work for the amatuer. Ideal for dogs that have a protective instinct and live at home.

Description:
Dogs that have successfully completed WD training can continue their training with the GD course. The GD course is a cometition level of bite work for Sport or amatuer protection.
Dogs that have completed the course are suitable to work as a protection dog for the familly home, the family and work place.

Pp Personal Protection Dog

Description:
Dogs who have succesfully completed WD and GD training programs may enter the Pp training program. Dogs who have completed the Personal Protection training program are professional protection dogs, worthy of working as a full time protection dog suitable for government agencies, body guard services etc. Pp is like a form of martial arts for dogs who learn how to stop a fugitive in the fastest and most efficient manner with the least possible ammount of damage. Training is conducted with a full bite suite and hidden bite material.
