Schutzhund trained dogs can also later on attend the PH program. Another more used system is training in parallel to the Schutzhund system with the PH differences. Or dogs that have successfully completed the IWD program.

Even though training consists of 4 stages it is a single certificate program that requires heavy team work and only stage 4 successful dogs can be emitted to work as law enforcers. The PH certificate is close to the K9 training program.
