As the rise of German Shepherd Dog breeders continue unfortunately so do the rise of dogs whome look like German Shepherd Dogs but that do not act as German Shepherd Dogs continues. The German Shepherd Dog Club has a straight forward goal "to protect the breed by educating breeders of proper breeding and training techniques."

The German Shepherd Dog Club solely believes that GSD's are utile working dogs and that they should be bred for true working ability and health. Breeding must be carried out by the pairing technique which required genetic and ancestrial knowledge.
